Different moves and items have different status effects and hit reactions. These range from burn to poison, to crumple to eject. Status effects are signified by an icon surrounding the inflicted character's portrait; as the effect wears off, the icon will disappear, acting as a meter. When the icon is gone, the status effect has worn off.

Status Effects[]

Burn[]

The Burn status effect causes whoever is inflicted to continuous take damage for a few seconds. This status effect is signified by a flame icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Confusion[]

The Confusion status effect reverses the inflicted player's controls and mixes up the attack inputs. This status effect is signified by a question mark icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Freeze[]

The Freeze status effect freezes the inflicted player in place for a period of time. This status effect is signified by an ice icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Poison[]

The Poison status effect causes the inflicted player to slowly lose TO's until the poison wears off. This status effect is signified by a skull icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Sleep[]

The Sleep status effect causes the inflicted player to fall asleep for a few seconds. This status effect is signified by a Z icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Stun[]

The Stun status effect briefly locks the inflicted player into a dizzy animation while standing, returning to a neutral state if left alone. Mash buttons to reduce the duration of a Stun effect. This status effect is signified by a spiral icon surrounding a character's portrait.

Hit Reactions[]

Butt-Drop[]

The Butt-Drop reaction is a hit state that forces an opponent to fall on their butt and become invulnerable to attack.

Crumple[]

The Crumple reaction is a hit state where the opponent slowly drops to their knees before entering a knockdown state.

Eject[]

The Eject reaction is a hit state that forces the opponent to fly away from the attacker at a 45-degree angle.

Eject Roll[]

The Eject Roll reaction is a hit state that forces the opponent to roll away from the attacker in an invincible state.

Knockdown[]

The Knockdown reaction is a hit state where the opponent is forced to lay flat on the ground for one or two seconds before they wake up. Players can attack while knocked down, although the attack ends the reaction.

Launch[]

The Launch reaction is a hit state that launches the opponent into the air; usually caused by uppercut-like attacks.

Lift[]

The Lift reaction is a hit state that sweeps an opponent off of their feet, opening up combo opportunities.
